Pray For Atlanta

"some would rather run down and get one cow, I think I'd rather walk down and get em all" Ludacris opened the song number one spot with that line. Now I've had a chance to step back and look at the career of another Atlanta act Foundation, I have to believe that they also lived by the sentiment that Luda was expressing.

The homies Will, Travis, Chris and I drove down to ATL this weekend to see Foundation's final show. The moment after their very emotion feeled set ended I thought to myself "damn I knew way more Foundation songs than I thought I did".

In a time where so many bands can't keep it together for more than album cycle, or reach for the fast cash, Foundation never did that shit, they just kept walking. Slow creating hardcore anthem after hardcore anthem. They walked into a place that few hardcore bands reach and that was never more apparent than their last show. It was a celebration, It was like watching the 98 Chicago Bulls spray champagne in the locker room, if the 98 Chicago Bulls were 5 straight edge kids from Atlanta and the champagne was silly string and roses. An ending that was well deserved, but could only earned from a decade of grinding.

Anyways just wanted to share my thoughts on Foundation and say thanks for the memories, here are some flicks from the trip.
